You Want a Professional
All Appraisal Institute Designated Members, Candidates for Designation, and Practicing Affiliates agree to abide by the Appraisal Institute’s Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (which include the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice).
Members who hold the MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, and/or AI-RRS designations have met rigorous requirements relating to education, experience, and demonstration of knowledge, understanding, and ability.
Candidates for Designation include individuals who are actively pursuing Appraisal Institute designated membership, and who hold a state certification or equivalent (as approved by the Admissions Designation and Qualifications Committee).
Practicing Affiliates are individuals who are working towards entering the Candidate for Designation Program, and include individuals who provide services as defined by the Code of Professional Ethics (CPE). Services defined by the CPE include appraisal, appraisal review, appraisal consulting, and real property consulting.
